| What are the types of K-glass? |
|
Since the process is continuous we produce different qualities:
KC for kiln casting: Mixed with different types and amounts of batch, KB glass saves energy and melting time. We calculate the final glass chemistry, viscosity curve and melting schedule for you. Ideal for “batch melting studios” which want to improve durability of their furnace, lower their energy costs and lower their labour costs for charging. Tests have been carried out with most of the standard batches provided by Phillips and Glasma. KB can also be melted by mixing it with just Cerium oxide and Water. KA for reheating: Only in electric or gas fired furnaces. Saves energy, time and the environment drastically, compared to any other batch products. Reheated at 1080 -1140 degrees Celsius maximum.
