Lauscha is well known everywhere as the cradle of lampworked glass and the birthplace of the glass Christmas ornament. Beautifully situated in the South Thuringian Forest, the picturesque town of slate clad houses and green forests is worth visiting.
With its over 150 year glass making history, the Farbglashuette is the glowing heart of the town of Lauscha. Since 1853, glass has been hand-made in the traditional manner, and rods and tubes are still produced by hand and then transformed into a multitude of unusually high quality products in an exquisite selection of colours.

For groups larger than 20 people, the Group entry price is 1,50 € (as opposed to 2,50€ admission per person)

Our restaurant offers a special menu under the title “Plus for Bus”.
This is a special menu card with special prices for Groups.
Valid for Lunch, coffee and cake, supper and childrens menu.
Bonuses for tourguides and bus drivers
- Bus driver and tour guide receive a gift certificate in the value of 10€ to use in the shops of the Farbglashuette.
- Bus driver and tour guide get free admission to the Experience Tour.

Group sign up
We ask you to please book your group’s visit in advance. You can use our online sign up form. Please pay attention to the times that the guided tour are offered when you select your time for your guided tour. The following is the schedule of tours:
First tour: 10am
Last tour: 3:30pm
Lunch break: 1pm - 2pm
The tour is conducted every half hour and in the case of large groups, can be started at 15 minute intervals.
