The Glass-blowing town of Lauscha in the Thuringian Forest is not only the homeland of the hand made Christmas ornament, lamp-blown glass, Hutte-made rods and tubes, and the artificial human glass eye, but is also the homeland for one of the most beautiful symbolic figures of Thuringia - the Lauscha glass princess. Since 1992 it has become an annual event to crown a glass princess who represents the local tradition of art glass making and the town of Lauscha. The Lauscha glass princess of the years 2006/07 and 2007/08 is named Jana Brinkmann and is Glass blower in the Farbglashuette Lauscha. You can learn more about our glass princess under personal, view her appointments, or request an autograph card. |
